Major Leslie ordered Lt Smith to go forward to find new gun positions but he is shown being cut down by the enemy on the left of the picture.  The battle lasted three hours and the Mohammed had lost approximately 7,500 men with the British losses being 270.  Sir Charles Napier stated the battle had been won due to the actions of the 1st Troop Bombay Horse Artillery and the Cheshire Regiment.  N Battery are now part of 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery and  celebrate the 24th of March as Hyderabad day. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe have managed to obtain 80 of these old Terence Cuneo prints which are in good condition considering their age.
