The Battle of Naseby took place on June 14, 1645, during the English Civil War. The Parliamentarian army, led by Sir Thomas Fairfax and Oliver Cromwell, decisively defeated the Royalist forces under King Charles I, it marked a turning point in the war and led to the eventual defeat of Charles I.
