After the Charge, Hanau 1813 by Henri Chartier (PC)

The 2nd Light Cavalry Lancers of the Imperial Guard return from their heroic charge at the Battle of Hanau. Known as the 'Red Lancers', the 2nd was largely composed of Dutchmen, after the annexation of Holland. They were known for their bravery in battle and iconic scarlet campaign dress, modelled after the Polish Lancers uniform.
