NBP0202. Assault on the Church Yard, The Kolberger Regiment at Grossbeeren By Carl Rochling

The Battle of Grossbeeren, fought on August 23rd 1813, was a major engagement during the War of the Sixth Coalition against Napoleon. It took place near the village of Grossbeeren, south of Berlin, between the Prussian forces, led by General Karl von Gneisenau, and the French army under General Pierre Augereau. The battle resulted in a decisive victory for the Prussians, who successfully repelled the French advance towards Berlin. This victory boosted the morale of the Coalition forces and contributed to the broader campaign against Napoleons rule in Germany.
