Helmand Province, Afghanistan 2012. CH-53D Sea Stallion's of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing deploy US Marines for assault on Taliban positions. The heavy lift helicopter first flew in 1964, and carried out its last operational flights supporting the US Marines during 'Operation Enduring Freedom' in early 2012.
