Crippled but Unconquered: The Belleisle at Trafalgar, October 21st 1895 by W. L Wyllie
At the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21 1805, HMS Belleisle, a British 74-gun ship under Captain William Hargood, was one of the first ships to engage the enemy. As part of Admiral Collingwood's column, she became isolated and surrounded by as many as four French and Spanish ships. Despite being heavily damaged, losing all her masts, and nearly unmanageable, Belleisle fought stubbornly and held out until reinforcements arrived.
Professionally produced using a high quality inkjet digital press and printed on 300gsm art stock.
Open edition print.
Paper Size 16.5 Inches x 11.7 inches (42cm x 29.6)
