The Battle of Littzen (also known as Grossgorschen) took place near the town of Littzen in Saxony, present-day Germany. The battle involved a coalition army primarily composed of Russian and Prussian forces facing against Napoleons army. The battle began in the early morning, the fighting was intense and chaotic with significant troop movements and cavalry charges on both sides. Key locations, like the village of Liitzen changed hands multiple times. Napoleons army would claim victory after a coalition retreat but it would be very costly with significant casualties. Seen here is the great Prussian general Gerhard von Scharnhorst after beng wounded inthe battle, the wound would be minor however the hasty retreat would prevent proper medical treatment and he would die to infection.
