HMS Centaur Departing Devonport by Ivan Berryman [Postcard]
The HMS Centaur was the first centaur-class light fleet carrier, commissioned by the Royal Navy in 1953 . It would be the only one of four to have a straight axial flight deck as opposed to an angled flight deck. Pictured here, the Centaur leaving Devonport after embarking her air-group. The Centaur would be decommissioned in 1965 due to budgetary issues. Additional colour added to enhance this previously black and white image.
Collectors postcard - first edition of 90 cards.
Postcard size 6 inches x 4 inches (15cm x 10cm)
