HMS King George V, commissioned in 1940, was lead ship of five King George
V-class battleships. It would take part in all three naval theatres during World War Two, also joining in on the hunt for and sinking of the Bismarck.. After the war it became a training battleship in 1947 and was decommissioned in 1949.
