Balloon-busting was a major part of the aerial war during the Battle of the Piave, Hauptmann Godwin von Brumowski and his great friend Frank Linke-Crawford downing a handful of them between them. This was Brumowskis 22nd victory in the Sdobba Estuary, scored whilst flying Albatros D.III (Oef) 152.45.
