Jousting was a popular martial sport and form of entertainment where two knights on horseback charged at each other with blunted lanes, aiming to unseat their oponent. It was often held during tournaments to display skill, bravery and chivarly. Despite the lances being blunt, the sport was still dangerous and many knights would die taking part.
