Phil Neville made his international debut at an even younger age than brother Gary, when still only just 19 years old. By doing so he and his sibling became the first brothers to play for England since the legendary Charltons in the 1960s. Although predominantly a left back, Phil has proved on countless occasions that he is also extremely comfortable at going forward. Since his arrival on the domestic scene he has overcome both injury and serious illness and looks destined to fill the position currently filled by long serving Denis Irwin.
