The Polish Winged Hussars were highly effective due to their heavy armour and powerful lances along with their distinctive shock tactics. They utilized a tight, wedge-shaped formation for impactful charges that could break enemy lines and cause panic. Their impressive appearance, including the iconic feathered wings, had a psychological effect on adversaries, enhancing their battlefield dominance. Despite their heavy gear, they remained agile and disciplined, executing complex manoeuvres with precision.
