The Battle for Ober-Selk fought on February 3rd, 1864, was part of the Second Schlesswig War. Austrian forces under Major General Leopold Gondrecourt successfully captured the village of Konigshugel from danish defenders, despite fierce resistance. The battle's outcome provided the Austrians with a significant strategic advantage, leading to the eventual abandonmnet of the Dannevirke by Danish forces.
