During 1917 under the leadership of Hauptmann Godwin von Brumowski Flik 41J was to become recognized as the finest of all the Fliegerkompanie in the Austro-Hungarian Army Air Service. With the superb Albatros D.III (Oef), the Luftfahrtruppen (LFT) were equipped to take on the enemy on equal terms.
