The First Ace - Max Immelmann by Ivan Berryman. [Original Painting]

Perhaps the greatest exponent of Fokker's Eindecker series of aircraft, Max Immelmann is credited with 15 aerial victories and was the first fighter pilot ever to win the coveted Pour le M├â┬®rite. He was killed on 18th June 1916 during combat with British FE.2B fighters of 25 Sqn.
