Shown here, the heroic charge up the hill at Alma by the light division, led by Sir George Brown. The scramble up the hill towards Russian guns was a costly move for the British army, with an eventual retreat under Russian fire occurring. The second attack at the hill at Alma would be a success, however the British would take take over 2000 casualties during the Battle.
