The Occupation of New York by the American Troops - Nov. 25 1783 [New Print Edition]

Evacuation Day - November 25th, 1783, the day in which the British Army departed New York at the end of the American Revolutionary War. American General Henry Knox secured the city, however George Washingtons arrival was delayed until a lone remaining British flag could be removed - the flagpole had been greased as a departing gift by the British.
