On the 10th December 1943 Mosquito HX966 along with HX975 of 487 sqn (RNZAF) Took off at 12:45 hrs for sweep mission to RutenbrUck, HX866 Flow by F/O Michael Lewis Brownlow Frankson (pilot) RAFVR and Navigator P/O David Edward Cake RAFVR Crashed in front of the Purit factory (now NORIT) near Klazienaveen, both crew members were killed.
