USS Enterprise by Randall Wilson (GL)

Commissioned on November 25, 1961, the USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) was the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and the longest naval vessel ever built, at over 1,100 feet. it was powered by eight Westinghouse A2W reactors, allowing for high speeds exceeding 30-40 knots. The Enterprise served in key Cold War roles, including the Cuban Missile Crisis and also was the first nuclear powered ship in combat during the Vietnam War.
